Exactly what the optimal cushioning package for your product looks like depends on a variety of factors. These start with product properties such as weight and the G-value reflecting sensitivity. The potential drop height, the degree of deformation, and the material properties of the various foam types also play a key role in packaging development. The most popular variant of cushion packaging consists of padded equipment packaging with protective inner packaging made of non-crosslinked foam, which is enclosed in a cardboard box. Another advantage of cushioning packaging from Wetropa is the flexible purchase quantity. Thus, we develop and produce both small series and large runs of cushion packaging without prescribed batch sizes.
MAXIMUM SAFETY WITH MINIMUM USE OF MATERIALS
Constructive cushion packaging is already subjected to special calculations in advance, which minimize material consumption, volume and thus also the weight of the cushion packaging. By saving space and weight, it is possible to keep the costs of storage as well as transport as low as possible without compromising the protective properties of the cushion packaging. The foams used by Wetropa, some of which have been developed in collaboration with manufacturers, are particularly resistant despite their efficient weight and can optimally protect even sharp-edged and heavy items.

Following the principles of the 3 Rs Reuse, Reduce and Recycle, Wetropa’s cushioning packaging is also convincing in terms of sustainability. While the foam pads can be reused several times for the same products, resources are effectively conserved by saving material. Last but not least, our protective cushioning packaging is also available as a version made of fully recyclable material. As part of our ReFOAM product range, foam waste and packaging returns are regranulated and reintroduced into the foam production process. In this way, we make an effective contribution to sustainability without compromising the quality of our packaging.
